Transitional states

*Could we call all the spaces we travel trough when we go from one place to another for one unifying name - transitional space? Could we also call the state of mind that we are in when going through such space - transitional state of mind.
*What is a transitional space then? A wiping out of spacial borders or edges making it more difficult to realise where something ends and something else starts.
*It has to to to the value that we acredit the place we are in. The place we left and the place we are going to are meaningfull and dense places. The intermediate space we move through is pure function and of lesser value.
*An anectation of the piece of land that defines the borders of countries was made by swedish artist Carl Michael von Hauswolf
*Films representing the transitional states could be road movies like Wild at heart or Wild strawberries.
*I spied on people to see and record how they behaved in one transit space.
*Another example of the search for the mysterious space are Stalker and Solaris tells about the spaceship being in a place that makes your mind float betwen dream and reality.
*The modern mythical character; The man stuck forever in Charles de Gaule airport with no passport not able to enter the country not able to leave.
*Spaces that manifests the transitional space are airports, hotels, waiting rooms in general
*So, is the acknowledgment of the importance of the transitional spaces necessery in order to understand modern thinking?
*In literature examples are "Huis Clos" by Sartre picturing three people waiting in a room. Coming from somewhere and obviously going somewhere percieving the waiting room to be only an temporary/transitspace. They finally realize that they are in hell.
*My "monument" could be to the mythic chracter in the airport, I se him as the embodiedment of the fears of getting stuck in this "unreal" space or of the fantasy of finally being totally freed from the responsabilities of the real world.
