The main objective is to acknowledge the fact that products can not exist with out an user and context. Design for All (DFA) will look closer at the product and its features to guaranty accessibility and usability for a variety of users - special in museums. GO! With the help of Mummi-project, founded in 2002, students get familiar with user centered design and we research and produce various mediainstallation to wide audiences. Multimodal user interface can be at it's best intuitive, easy to use and accessible with many senses. The important goal of Mummi studyprojects is to help future mediadesigners to undestand that there is no product without a user or content that is relevant to the user. In a museum the information that is offered via for example digital media has to be also accessible for everyone. Many museums have ongoing projects to digitize our cultural heritage. Re-presenting this information for big audiences is a challange. Computer screen is not always the best way to display information. With new media you can offer interfaces for various senses - also touching, hearing, feeling and movement can be ways to build knowledge. Saavutettava suunnittelu (Design for All) on oleellinen osa koko korkeakoulun opetus- sekä tutkimustoimintaa. Vuodesta 2002 toimineen Mummi -opintoprojektin avulla tutustutaan käyttäjälähtöiseen suunnitteluun, tutkitaan ja tuotetaan laajalle yleisölle erilaisia mediainstallaatioita. Multimodaalinen, moniaistinen käyttöliittymä on parhaimmillaan intuitiivinen, helppokäyttöinen ja monilla aisteilla saavutettava. Mummi-opintoprojektien tärkeänä tavoitteena on auttaa tulevia mediasuunnittelijoita ymmärtämään, ettei ole olemassa tuotetta ilman käyttäjää ja käyttäjälle tärkeää sisältöä. Museossa mm. digitaalisen median keinoin tarjottavan tiedon on oltava jokaisen saavutettavissa. Kulttuuriperinnön digitoimiseksi on useassa museossa meneillään mittavia projekteja. Digitoitujen tietojen esittäminen laajalle yleisölle on haastava tehtävä.
