MULTIMODAL WORKSHOP - Content description: The workshop is part of bigger module of School of Design (15 cp) . Workshop starts with brainstorming and lectures given by experts of intelligent textile design, multimodal design, interactive design and mobile technologies. The emphasis is put to the user experience and principles of design for all. The aim is to create scenarios and applications for coming design projects and possibilities commercialize the innovations with SME partners. The workshop supports multidisciplinary studies and final thesis projects done by student from both departments. Supported core competences: Design skills, creative use of software, understanding how society and technology affect each other, understanding trans disciplinary and understanding digital design. Course aims: To increase understanding in multimodal user centered design and knowledge how to develop ideas that combine textile design, multimodal information technology, interaction design and further how to commercialize innovations. In second place the workshop will give abilities to work in multidisciplinary groups, to increase understanding of innovative processes. Learning outcomes: Outcomes are scenarios about intelligent, functional, user friendly textile applications and products.
