HIROSHIMA
We visited Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum in november 2004. On that time it was too hard to write our comments or impressions. After those moments we started to write the song Gates of Hiroshima . W.Waves ( A. Aallon Rytmiorkesteri) -One of the most popular bands in Finland recorded the song. Single was released on 6th of August at 8.15 a.m. One week after it was top on finnish radio charts. We took the cd and story to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum on 30.7 2005. All visitors can listen to it at the library. The Japanese translation was made by our japanese co-producer Chinami F. It took more than seven months for us, two finnish singer-songwriters to tell about our feelings. We hope that this song will give power and courage for all of us.
We can't change the history So let's walk for the future.
8.15 was two weeks Number 0ne in many radios in Finland.
CulturaBridges-Project / 8.15 Songfactory / Heikki Menp J.J Lihr-J.Talasrinne

More information: GATES OF HIROSHIMA

3.
MOOMINTROLL 60 in EXPO AICHI, JAPAN 2005

<< Back
